The coach previews the game against Real Betis
Gonçalo Guedes is waiting to get back to playing full 90 minutes for Valencia CF, but the Portuguese has found a new role as a supersub at times since his return from injury. He came on as a second half replacement for Maxi Gómez at Mestalla on Matchday 26, in what proved to be a masterstroke by coach Albert Celades.
Playing on the left of the midfield, Guedes made several runs to the byline agains Real Betis. On one occasion, he cut back an effort that only jus evaded Geoffrey Kondogbia and Mouctar Diakhaby. He followed that up with the pass that led to Kevin Gameiro's blast into the net from disance.
With two successful runs, two crosses, a foul drawn and an assist, Guedes is beginning to have an effect on Valencia CF's play. The Portuguese has had a stop-start campaign due to various injuries, but is finding his best form at an important moment of the season.
